News > A Review of 2025, The Multi Sim Year
November 23, 2025
October 2024: Going Multi-sim, 4 supported simulators
Back in October 2024, Race Element went Multi-Sim for the first time as it initially started with Assetto Corrsa Competizione in 2022, adding Assetto Corsa, iRacing and RaceRoom. Since then the app has gained many features which work across many driving simulators. It also meant that some of the existing HUDs and features for Assetto Corsa Competizione could be ported, but it also meant that some of them could be rewritten from scratch.
End of 2024: Automobilista 2, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator are now supported, 7 supported simulators
Once adding new games to Race Element became easier, AMS2 was added whilst ETS2 and ATS were also added. During this month a new shift bar was also added being able to render up to 200 Hz. The app was also migrated to .NET 9 during this month providing better performance and some extra techniques to write code more efficiently.
January 2025: AC EVO Support is added, 8 supported simulators
Assetto Corsa EVO was teased and let loose at the 2024 ADAC Simracing Expo in Dortmund, in January 2025 the game was released as Early Access and support was added to Race Element.
May 2025: DSX Guides added to the website and auto game detection
DSX has been a main part of Race Element for the past 1.5 years. DSX adds a lot of fun with DualSense since it provides Adaptive Triggers with Race Element, this will grow further along the year! Race Element now automatically detects whether any of the supported games are running causing it to auto-switch without the user having to interact with Race Element.
August 2025: Forza Horizon 5 is added, 9 supported simulators
Forza Horizon 5, without a doubt, is a great game to cruise, just to have fun and chill with your friends. One easily puts in 30–50 hours just by exploring the map and enjoying a bit of multiplayer! DSX Support is also there.
November 2025: Upgraded to .NET 10, with 15 supported simulators.
What a month! Le Mans Ultimate, rFactor 2 and WRC Generations were added as well as Assetto Corsa Rally which went into Early Access. Two late month additions are Forza Motorsport 8 and Project Motor Racing. All of these support DSX Adaptive Triggers with Race Element and plenty of HUDs to customize your game. With the upgrade to .NET 10 the app's executable has become smaller, this will speed up updates on slower networks.
What is next?
The GUI will be rewritten at some point to add more features like profiles. Additional driving simulators and HUDs will be added as long as the app is viable to exist, though more than a 1000 hours have been spent on this app so far.
